Stella Adams Schofield

Stella Adams Schofield - artist, teacher and researcher Stella Adams-Schofield works with textile, text and time-based media to explore the processes, people and places connected with textile making, use, and care.

 

After completing an MA in Contemporary Applied Art at the University of Cumbria in 2010, she has exhibited regularly in national and international exhibitions.

 

Stella has always loved discovering new textile techniques, and, as an experienced teacher she enjoys passing on her knowledge and skills to others.

Sara Dennis

Sara Dennis - Sara graduated from the three-year full-time Royal School of Needlework Future Tutor Programme in 2017 winning the Outstanding Achievement Award.  Sara has worked on several high profile RSN commissions: an evening gown designed by Nicholas Oakwell Couture for the GREAT Britain Campaign, ‘Magna Carta (An Embroidery)’ designed by artist Cornelia Parker for the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta, the Game of Thrones ‘Hardhome Embroidery’ and Burberry’s ‘Makers House’ in partnership with The New Craftsmen. She has created a bespoke commission for St Olave’s Church in the City of London. 

 

As well as Day Classes, the Certificate and Diploma, Summer Intensive Certificate and Degree modules at Hampton Court Palace, Sara has also taught at the Victoria & Albert Museum, The British Library and The Royal Free Hospital.

Gill Ferguson

Gill Ferguson- Gill works as a designer/maker from her studio in Silverdale. After working in the textile industry as a designer/colourist for 15 years she now creates surface pattern designs and works with felt. Recently Gill has been working on a series of needle felted birds and woodland creatures which she will be exhibiting at Silverdale Art and Craft Trail and teaching the techniques for at Reticule.

 

Gill is as an experienced tutor who has worked in adult education settings, with guilds and art groups. The classes have a relaxed atmosphere, and all are suitable for beginners.

Jane Walton

Jane Walton – Jane is the co-owner of Reticule Fabrics and has taught in the adult education sector. Jane has been sewing since she was 8 and enjoys many types of needlecraft - especially dressmaking, quilting, embroidery and needlefelting and all things hand sewn!
